The 1/8 X 36" ALUMINUM (16-850) by Washington Alloy 4047 is an aluminum filler metal that contains approximately 12% silicon. This aluminum welding electrode is a general-purpose welding alloy providing a free-flowing filler metal and good corrosion resistance. The melting range of this electrode is around 1070-1080oF, with a grayish-black color tinge after anodizing. The 4047 has remarkable fluidity, which helps to reduce weld leakage rates during the manufacturing process, increasing productivity significantly. They generate accurate and clean welds and are excellent for thinner metals and smaller projects.
