For use in dynamic reciprocating applications, a low-friction seal. An O-ring energizes the plastic cap and acts in a static environment, while a plastic cap provides a seal against the dynamic sealing face. The O-ring uses the system pressure to increase the sealing power. The lid also prevents the O-ring energizer from escaping when used in high-pressure circumstances. A low-friction substance, such as PTFE, is commonly used for the plastic cover. Liquid media can lubricate the dynamic sealing faces by moving between them through a capillary effect under low pressure. Because they allow a quantity of fluid to pass through the seal, cap seals are called wet seals.
Key Features:
- Because of the low frictional resistance, such as when rotating with Capseal, it is possible to avoid stick-slip.
- When employing an O-ring, it applies to a groove that is not divided.
- After a long period of non-operational time, the value of frictional resistance can barely be increased.
- Can extend the seal's service life
- In comparison to Capseal, this is available for conditions with a higher speed.
- JISB2406 standard O-ring groove can be used.
- With a retention ring for high pressure (9.8MPa) conditions
