The 16-14 HEAT SHRINK RING TERM includes a heat-activated adhesive lining that offers a strain-relieving seal resistant to salt water, oil, acids, and radiation. High-temperature glue integrates into the heat shrink tubing jacket of Ancor heat shrink connectors. The connectors create a watertight seal and deliver the best vibration and strain reduction when heated. These connections are the safest type to use with a screw terminal intended to fit a wide range of screw terminal sizes and be used with wire gauges 16 to 14 AWG.
Key Features:
- Tinned to prevent corrosion
- The optimal current flow requires pure copper.
- For optimal strength, braze the seam.
- PVC tubes cannot burn like cross-linked polyolefin piping, which is substantially durable.
- Heat-activated adhesives liner relieves strain while forming an impenetrable seal against sunlight, acids, oil, and marine water.
- Sunlight, water, oil, contaminants, vibration, and through-damage resistance
- CSA Recognition and UL Listing
- It shrinks to 1/3 of its former size, the highest shrink rate.
- At 257°F/125°C, it contracts.
- The operational temperature ranges between 40 and 110 degrees Celsius.
- It compresses to create the ultimate tension alleviation and a water-a seal.
