Ancor's Marine Grade terminals differ from automotive terminals in that they are built to withstand the harsh marine environment. Nylon insulators crimp easily and do not split. Barrels are designed to grip the wire as tightly as possible with the least amount of effort. Tinned copper has the lowest electrical resistance but the best corrosion resistance.
Because they cannot slip off a screw or stud, ring terminals are the most secure type of tongue-style connector. On all critical circuits, they should be used. The ring size of the terminal must match the size of the screw it is connecting to, according to ABYC. These #6 rings correspond to the screw size in Blue Sea's 2400 series of terminal blocks.
