These deck plates have an internal collar with a small horizontal lip on the bottom to hold deck plate bags or other precisely sized round containers. Seadog used to sell fabric bags and polyethylene rings that fit the internal collars, but they have since been discontinued. These Screw-Out Deck Plates are with the highest quality standards. Deck plate bags or other round containers are held in place by an internal, molded-in collar on the bottom. It is best to use Vaseline or Teflon grease to lubricate it. To clean the threads, use hot, soapy water. Avoid coming into contact with acetone or other strong solvents. When installing, apply silicone sealant to the hull or deck surface.
