The Mercury Elbow - Sierra Marine Engine Parts - 18-1971 (118-1971) is a critical component of any marine engine exhaust system, large or small. Exhaust risers connect the cylinder manifold to the exhaust hose and are attached to the exhaust manifolds of the engine cylinders. Because of their horseshoe shape, the risers are called elbows. They are located near the top and along the side of the engine. Both the manifold and the riser are typically composed of cast iron and are coated to prevent corrosion.

- This riser has a 3" outlet (measured on the O.D. of the outlet) and a 90-degree down-angle. It does not come with a gasket or mounting kit. It will fit either side of the engine in V8 applications.
- Riser bolt center-to-center measurements are 3-1/16" (77.8mm) by 2-13/16" (71.4mm).
